Creamy Pumpkin Pasta Sauce-Easy Recipes
It is autumn time and obviously pumpkin season so I have decided to make as many pumpkin recipes this autumn as I can. This evening I made a creamy pumpkin pasta sauce, which I actually got the recipe for from ChatGPT. And this sauce turned out absolutely delicious, so I thought I would share it with you all!!
Creamy Pumpkin Pasta Sauce
Ingredients:• 1 cup pumpkin puree
• 1/2 cup heavy cream
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• Salt and pepper to taste
((I added paprika powder to mine!!))
((• I also added some of the water from the cooked pasta to the sauce!!))
• Optional toppings: toasted pine nuts, chopped parsley, extra Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
• Sauté the Aromatics:
• In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
• Combine Ingredients:
• Add the pumpkin puree, heavy cream, and grated Parmesan cheese to the saucepan. Stir well to combine.
• Season and Simmer:
• Add a pinch of salt and pepper to start. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
• Simmer and Thicken:
• Let the sauce simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
• Adjust Consistency (Optional):
• If you find the sauce too thick, you can thin it out by adding a little more heavy cream. If it's too thin, continue to simmer until it reaches your desired consistency.
• Taste and Adjust Seasoning:
• Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
• Serve:
• Pour the creamy pumpkin sauce over your favorite cooked pasta. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
• Garnish (Optional):
• Serve hot and, if desired, top with toasted pine nuts, chopped parsley, and extra Parmesan cheese.
